When my son was eight years old, he gave me a ceramic ring holder that he made in art class at school. The little dish is painted in royal blue. In the center, it has three little lime green frogs with long red tongues. One area of the dish is not painted because “the teacher didn’t give me time to finish it.”
When he gave it to me eleven years ago along with a Mother’s Day card, my heart was overflowing with joy and love. To me, that dish is worth so much more than any fancy jewelry box.
Every night, I remove my rings and earrings before going to bed. I put them in that little ring holder. It reminds me of the great love that I have for my children.
This makes me think of our heavenly Mother and how she must feel when she receives our prayers. Maybe our Hail Marys are not always perfect or our Rosaries are left unfinished when we are overcome by sleep at night. But if our prayers come from the depths of our hearts, they are like valuable and perfect gems for Mary our Mother.
Today, we thank Jesus for the great gift of his Mother, and we ask her to help us remain close to her Son at all times. Amen.

Came at a perfect time. Our daughter and her husband are coming to celebrate Mother’s Day for the first time in many years. It’s all I ever wanted. Expensive gifts…don’t need them.
Happy Mother´s Day Linda! We hope you have a wonderful time with your family!
Blessings,
