Good News children likely know many of the prayers of the Church, including the Lord’s Prayer, the Hail Mary, and the creeds. Ask them if they know that the Sign of the Cross is actually a prayer. Review the prayers of the Church in Our Prayers, which is available to download and print in both Spanish and English. Work through the matching activity together and then encourage the children to post the page somewhere they will see it regularly at home. Discuss with the children that these prayers and spontaneous or “made-up” prayers are ways that we talk with God.
