The Voice of the Vatican

The Voice of the Vatican

Vatican

Pope Francis communicates with Catholics worldwide in a number of ways—for example, his Twitter account (@pontifex) has 18 million followers in nine languages. The Vatican has a long history of worldwide communication. Vatican Radio, also known as the Voice of the Vatican, broadcasts 24 hours every day. The man who organized the original broadcasts in 1931, radio pioneer Guglielmo Marconi, would hardly recognize Vatican Radio today. It includes podcasts, Web TV, YouTube, Twitter, and web player and disseminates information in 45 languages. Share this rich resource with your families and children.
