As a class, plan and complete a service project to show love to a needy person or group in your community.l November 1: Feast of All Saints – Today, we honor all the saints in Heaven. Pray a litany to the saints. Go around the room, naming the saint for each child’s name: “Saint Mateo.” Response: “Pray for us.” End with “All you holy men and women.” Response: “Pray for us.”l November 2: All Souls’ Day – Today, we pray for those who have died. We pray that they will be welcomed by God into Heaven.l November 3: Saint Martin de Porres – The son of a dark-skinned mother and a Spanish father, Martin was raised in poverty in Peru. Having experienced racial prejudice, he became forgiving and fair. Ask: How can we be more accepting of those who are different?l November 4: Saint Charles Borromeo – During a time a widespread illness and famine, Charles borrowed money to feed thousands of people each day. When others left the city because of the disease spreading there, Charles stayed to care for the sick and dying. Make a card for someone who is sick.Unit 1: We Are the Church l TG1-25
