Do the same with playground and bus rules. Ask: What happens when people don’t keep rules? They can get hurt or quarrel and act mean towards each other.MoveandSing Movetotheopenarea.Tellthechildrenthey’ll sing a song that shows how we feel when we follow rules. A man saidto him, “Jesus, there are so many rules. Tell us which is the most important one.” Jesus answered, “Here is the most important rule: Love God with your whole heart and your whole soul and your whole mind.” The man said, “I will try to do that. Are there any other rules?” Jesus said, “Just one more: You must love other people the same way you love yourself. Try to keep these two rules.”Distribute Seeds and invite the children to describe what is happening in the cover illustration. Read the sentence. Ask: What are the two rules? Love God and love one another.Decide which rule is being followed in each small illustration. Ask: Why do you think I gave you paper hearts?
