Continue in this way with the other four illustrations found on page 3.Children, go where I send thee. How shall I send thee? I will send thee one by one. One for the itty bitty baby. Born, born, born in Bethlehem.Children, go where I send thee. How shall I send thee?I will send thee two by two. Two for Mary and Joseph. One for the itty bitty baby. Born, born, born in Bethlehem. As you sing, have the children point to the correct illustration. Allow the children several times to become familiar with the song, then ask them all to join in.If you are not confident of your musical ability, find someone in your parish who will play and sing Christmas songs for this and next week’s lessons.Activity ● A Matching Game (page 4) On the other side of the six Christmas pictures is a matching game. Havethe children cut on the heavy lines to produce six ornament groupings. Show them how to match two groups that are alike and then let them finish the activity on their own. Provide envelopes for each child to carry the game home. After tidying the work area, move into a circle for a closing prayer.Closing Prayer “Dear Jesus, we are glad you came to be like us. We like celebrating your birthday at Christmas time. We will share your love with other people.” The children respond, “Amen.”Bring your prayer and session to a close by playing and singing “Jesus Is Coming” (CD-1, #7).Remind the children to share their Gospel Weeklies with their families and to do the Family Corner activities and prayer together.WHAT THE CHURCH BELIEVES AND TEACHES HANDBOOKWhat the Church Believes and TeachesRight and Wrong (page 14)Help the children find page 14.
