● SS: People who witnessed Jesus heal the man believed Jesus was a great teacher because of what they saw. Identify an event in the children’s recent past (i.e., a field trip, an assembly, etc.). Brainstorm reasons the event took place. (D2.His.14.K-2)

Saints and Feast Days to Celebrate
● January 31: Saint John Bosco – Founder of the Society of Saint Francis de Sales (the Salesians), Don Bosco helped disadvantaged boys in Italy. He founded a sister order dedicated to the care and education of poor girls. Salesians run more than 3,000 schools and technical centers worldwide (salesians.org).
● February 2: Presentation of the Lord – Also celebrated as Candlemas, this feast commemorates Jesus’ Presentation in the Temple in Jerusalem 40 days after his birth. The Presentation is the fourth Joyful Mystery of the Rosary. Pray a decade of the Rosary.
