Curriculum Connections
●  Social Skills: Discuss with the children how Jesus got people
to come follow him (he invited them, he asked politely, he
used manners). Have the children demonstrate ways to invite people to play, work, and share with them. Invite the children to practice acting like Jesus when they ask each other questions throughout the day.
●  SS: Ask the children where fish can be found. Invite them to share stories of times when they went fishing. As possible, encourage imaginative play among the children in which they pretend to go fishing.

Catholic Identity Project of the Week
Create a spiritual bouquet for a local seminarian, religious community, or retirement home. Make construction paper flowers, write prayers to be said for the recipient(s) on the flowers, and deliver the bouquet.
●  January 22: Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children – On the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Catholics offer Masses and prayers for the gift of human life. Pray: Loving God, every life is precious. We thank you for every person—young, old, and unborn. Amen.
●  January 25: The Conversion of Saint Paul the Apostle – “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” Jesus asks Saul (Paul) in Acts 9:4. Known for his prosecution of Christ’s followers, Saint Paul soon to believe in Christ after this revelation on the road to Damascus.
