Saints and Feast Days to Celebrate
l April 16: Saint Bernadette Soubirous – This sickly daughter of a poor French miller was gifted with 18 visions of the Virgin Mary in 1858. Lourdes has become one of the most popular Marian shrines in the world, attracting millions of visitors every year, many who seek healing of body or spirit. Pray the Hail Mary today for healing.
l April 21: Saint Anselm, Bishop and Doctor of the Church – An original and independent thinker, Anselm became one of the Church’s greatest theologians and leaders. He was also admired for his patience, gentleness, and teaching skill. An opponent of the slave trade of his time, his care and concern extended to the very poor.
