March 19: Saint Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary – The Bible says Joseph was a “righteous” man (Matthew 1:19). This means that he was open to all that God wanted to do for and through him. Pray: Lord, help us to be open to your will as Saint Joseph was. Amen. March 24: Blessed Oscar Romero – Archbishop Romero found
the courage to speak out after the murder of several priests who defended the rights of the poor in El Salvador. Speaking up for what was right led to him being shot and killed while saying Mass. Pray: Lord, give us the courage to do what’s right. Amen.

Catholic Identity Project of the Week
Invite the children to focus on one way they can commit to loving Jesus more each day. Have them write it on a seed made of construction paper. Then let each child “plant” their seed in a bed of soil, also made of construction paper. Next week, ask each child to share how their commitment went and allow them to trade their seed for a flower. Discuss with your group that when we love Jesus, we have a positive impact on the world.
