Celebrating the Season of Creation

Celebrating the Season of Creation

The Season of Creation began on September 1, the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, and will end on October 4, the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology beloved by many Christian denominations.

We Thank God / Damos gracias Dios is an activity to help Seeds children (Preschool) to thank God for trees and fall colors.

Thank You, God, for Water / Gracias Señor por el agua is an activity to help Promise children (Kindergarten, Grade 1) understand the importance of being thankful for things that otherwise may seem small or simple, like water.

We Remember Saint Francis on October 4 / Recordamos a San Francisco el 4 de octubre is a crossword puzzle to help Good News children (Grades 2, 3) learn about Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology.

We Praise You, God, for Your Creation is a family prayer service that encourages participants to share in Saint Francis’s attitude of praising our Creator. This prayer service could also be used in a classroom.
