FROM OUR EDITORS—June 14, 2020 – Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi)

This week, the Catholic Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday, June 19. The devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus has its origins in the 1600s. It invites us to meditate on Jesus’ Passion and Death, to grow in love for him. The next day, June 20, the Church celebrates the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary to express that these two hearts are inseparable and that Mary always brings us closer to Jesus.

We invite you to consecrate your family to the protection of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary by praying this Prayer of Consecration together.

Our team is working hard on the Gospel Weeklies for the 2020–21 school-program year. Stay tuned to learn about a new digital delivery option that we’ll be offering for this fall. As we prepare resources for this fall, we keep you and your students—past and future—in prayer. We ask you to keep us in your prayers as well.

I hope some churches will switch into digital prayers and gatherings too. So the words of God will continue to expand to the citizens. Thank you for sharing this. God bless us all!
