“And they’re off and running” is the traditional announcement at the start of a horse race. It likely applies to you and your students as you begin your faith formation program year. Just remember that very few races are won by those who don’t get off to a good start.
We pray that your year begins well and continues strong to the finish as you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:1–2, NABRE).
