We can imagine the despair and discouragement the disciples walking to Emmaus felt as they left Jerusalem after Jesus’ Death. They didn’t at first recognize the stranger walking with them as Jesus. We can miss seeing Christ in each other at times too. May our eyes be opened to see Christ alive and present in each other and in all of God’s creation.
