The Pflaum Gospel Weeklies are based on the Sunday readings and apply the Gospel to children’s lived experiences. This year, following the Liturgical Calendar, the children will begin studying the Gospel of Luke. With the start of a new Church Year on the First Sunday of Advent on December 1, we will be following the readings for Year A, mainly from the Gospel of Matthew. Get a handle on what your children already know about the Gospels. Pflaum offers “We Meet Jesus in the Gospels”—a free, online lesson available for each level, including:
- Seeds: Spanish and English
- Promise: Spanish and English
- Good News: Spanish and English
- Venture: Spanish and English
- Visions: Spanish and English
These Gospel lessons include a plan with a materials list, gathering and closing prayers, music suggestions from the Pflaum music CDs, and activity guides. The lessons follow the same three-step process as the regular Gospel Weeklies—Share Experiences, Discover Gospel and Doctrine, and Live the Gospel. However, they are not linked to a specific Sunday Gospel, and they may be used at whatever point in the year you determine works best for your class.
