SUNDAY’S GOSPEL — November 26, 2017

142

Matthew 25:31–46

This Sunday, we hear Jesus’ great parable of judgment. The parable clearly states that all will be judged on the Works of Mercy described in it. We are called to build God’s reign on Earth and to share in that reign forever. But to do so, we need to care for the least of God’s children and provide food and drink, clothing and shelter, comfort and companionship in order to live full lives. The requirement of God’s kingdom is love—love for God that is shown in the way we treat one another.

See The Gospel at Home (English, Spanish) for suggested family activities and discussion starters related to this Sunday’s Gospel.
