As your class time winds to a close, you can find yourself with more minutes than activities left in your lesson plan. Maybe the children breezed through an activity more quickly than you anticipated or you’re waiting for a few parents to return for pickup. The Pflaum editors have assembled a number of extending activities specifically for Seeds (preschool) and Promise (kindergarten–grade 1) children. In Unit 1, there are ideas for cooperative play and creative projects, as well as new printable coloring pages that accompany the story for many of the lessons. Use them as you have time and need. The new story coloring pages are available in both Spanish and English.
Note that the story coloring pages are part of the Extending Activities for the Seeds and Promise levels. Since our new website limits access to some resources to our Gospel Weeklies customers, you will find that the links provided on the Lesson Updates page bring you back to this blog post. Simply click on the Seeds or Promise links provided above. They will take you to the Extending Activities—and story coloring pages—for Unit 1. You can also locate them by going directly to Extending Activities in your Seeds or Promise level.
