Teach the Eucharistic Acclamations

Teach the Eucharistic Acclamations

Encourage full and active participation in the Mass by having children learn the Eucharistic Acclamations! These short, call-and-response instructional videos introduce sung Mass parts from the Mass of Christ the Savior, the Mass of Joy and Peace, the Mass of Creation, the Mass of Renewal, and the Mass of Saint Ann. Mass parts include the Sanctus/Holy, Holy, Holy, Memorial Acclamations (A, B, and C), Great Amen, and Lamb of God. Miss Heidi (host of Kids’ Liturgy) breaks each Mass part into segments, which will help children practice these important responses more easily.

This is a unique resource. As pastors, catechists, teachers, music directors, and formation leaders look for ways to encourage Mass participation, this video series will help them bring children and their families closer to Christ through song.

These videos are an extension of As Without End We Acclaim, a First Communion preparation resource from Twenty-Third Publications. Authors Zack Stachowski and Matt Reichert worked with new Twenty-Third author and Pflaum contributor, Heidi Witte, to create these five videos for teaching children some of the most popular Mass settings in the U.S.
